“Boo!”
“―Uwah..!! [Name]-chan, don't scare me like that!” Oikawa huffed, crossing his arms. A laugh escapes from your lips, and you motioned for him to scoot over to give you some space to sit. Frowning, Oikawa grudgingly scooted back and you took the seat beside him. “What? You're not even going to say 'Thank you'? I honestly think that you're spending too much time with Iwa-chan.” The brunette slowly averted his gaze at you ― and he wasn't in the least surprised when he figured out that you weren't listening to him. He nudged your rib gently, “[Name]-chan, is there something wrong? Did you fail your English test again? That's alright. It's not like we're good at English anyway, so it's fine.”
“Hmm, no, that's not why I'm here.” You hummed. “Thanks for the.. ah, encouraging words, though.”
He shrugged, “So, why are you here?”
“Geez, it sounds like you want me to go away or something! Where's the real Oikawa who would always drag me to places? Where's the Oikawa that's all about smiles and sunshine? Where's the Oikawa that would always pull me into a deadly tight hug?” You snaked an arm around his neck and laughed again. “I guess he's not here right now. But that's okay, I guess. Mind sending him this message when comes back? I don't think I have enough time to visit him again. Wait! I could always ask Hajime but he'll probably say no―so never mind that.”
“[Name]-chan..!” He whined. “Stop playing around!”
“Wow,” You breathed. “You really are feeling down, aren't you?”
“I lost.” Oikawa mutters quietly, lowering his head. “I lost―I wasn't able to go to the Nationals.”
The Nationals. The fucking Nationals. That's what he was always talking about. Iwaizumi, too, always talked about it but not to an extent that he had annoyed you. But Oikawa―Oikawa was another story. Ever since you were in Junior High, he kept talking about how his dream was to go to the Nationals and become an athlete. You weren't going to lie, you thought it was a ridiculous dream to have. Being an athlete was pathetic, you'd say to yourself. But as you grew up ― you've come to be more wiser and understood your best friend's passion and love for volleyball. And because of that, you erased all of your negative thoughts and began to cheer him on ― telling him to keep going and going, and he did. He kept going. He kept running until he reached his goal.
But.. he didn't make it on time. He wasn't able to reach. If only he were able to stretch his hands further ― maybe he'd reach it. But Oikawa didn't.
“Sometimes, people get their dreams. Sometimes, they don't.” Sighing, you patted your friend's back. “That's the tragedy of living, I guess.”
“You know, I worked so hard―”
“Yeah, I know." You interjected. “I know you worked hard trying to reach your dreams. I was there next to you. I was there when you got an award for being the best setter. I was there when you injured yourself from working yourself too much. And I was there when you decided that playing volleyball was the thing that'll make you happy. I know. I was there to see it all. But you know what? Fuck it. Who cares if you lost? Who fucking cares?! You tried your best didn't you? You gave them all what you've got, and I couldn't be more happier!” Letting a heavy sigh, you continued. “I'm proud of you. Everyone is.”
“[N-Name]-chan..." He stammered. “T-That was the nicest thing you've ever said to me!”
“O-Oi! Shut up! And don't start crying on me now! Ah, geez! Tooru!”

Oikawa Tooru x Reader
There are always some people who are so infuriatingly good-looking no matter which angle you look at them from. Even when they're at the their worst, somehow, they still find a way to look attractive.
"It's practically impossible, guys..." The volleyball club manager sighed out, surrounded by all the third year players of the Seijou Volleyball Team, other than the captain.
Their phones held in front of them, they stared at the latest snap that Iwaizumi had on his story. Looks of annoyance and a hint of admiration could be seen on their faces as they sat in one corner of the gym together.
A picture of Oikawa stared ri

"Kenma, look!"
The golden eyed boy turned his attention from the pudding cup he was eating to look at his brother. Lev beamed at him from their father’s lap, Kuroo’s finger pulling the tip of his nose up. Kenma blinked at the sight before realizing Lev looked exactly like a pig. He had the good sense to swallow the spoonful of pudding before he burst into snorts of laughter, sending Oikawa into a fit of laughter himself.
Pressing his own finger to Kenma’s nose, Oikawa pulled it back guffawed at how he looked. “You can really see the family resemble like this, Tetsu-chan.”
“Oi!”

"Tetsu..."
Kuroo didn't like it when you said his name like that. The familiar, shaken tone, no louder than a croak; desperate. He knew something was wrong just by the hour the phone call took place. He knew that it had happened again, and it literally made his stomach churn dreadfully.
On the other line, your body trembled with a rush adrenaline. Your heart thundered in your ears, making it hard to process a single thought. You hated putting Kuroo out like this even if he was your closest friend, and you knew how he felt about Tobio. Unfortunately, you

This was good. There are a few hiccups, the past tense v. Present tense kind. Keep it up, and watch out for tense. In 2PO it stalls the story a little bit.
