It was true that Kageyama wasn't necessarily smart when it came to education. It was also true that [Name] was silently suffering from trying to tutor Kageyama. It has been only 10 minutes since the tutoring started and the boy - Kageyama - just couldn't keep his thoughts still. The young lad was so easily distracted, and [Name] was trying her best not to yell out "You fucking turd, listen to me!". It was a good thing that [Name] was able to control her emotions.
"Okay," [Name] began. "let's just try another subject! Oh, I know. How about foreign studies? That's easy, right? We left off about the United States of America, didn't we? Now, do you still remember how many states there in America?"
The female student fought the urge to bang her head repeatedly on the table. "It's 50." she corrected him, in the most sweetest voice she could muster. Kageyama blinked, and wore the frustrated expression that he had since the tutoring began. "Not 10. But 50. There are exactly 50 states in the United States of America."
"Right." Kageyama nodded.
[Name] let out a heavy sigh. "You retests are tomorrow, Kageyama-kun."
"And I'm trying my best to teach you, but you're so distracted."
She looked up and stared at him, as he did the same. Questions came into her mind. Questions like: Why is he so easily distracted?, Is there a way for him to keep his thoughts still and listen to me?, Will this guy even pass tomorrows tests?. She just didn't get it. His eyes were completely on her, giving her his full attention, yet, he kept getting all the answers wrong! Just why?
"Do you even listen to me?" [Name] asked out of blue.
The boy shook his head slowly. "No, not really. I'm just looking at you."
"But why?" The girl groaned. "I'm trying to teach you—"
"Because I think you're pretty." he interjected. [Name] instantly shut her mouth, blinked, and then turned her attention to dark haired boy. Did she hear him right? Oh no, that can't be. His brain must be tired from all that learning. "I was staring at you because I think you're pretty, and so that distracted me from learning."
"..What?" She was confused. Very confused. The reason Kageyama wasn't able to learn anything was because of her. God dammit, why didn't he choose another tutor then?! Though, she had to admit, it was sort of sweet of him. It wasn't every day that [Name] got complimented. And Kageyama's pleasant words made her cheeks slightly pink. "I, uh, never mind. Let's just go back to studying!"
Kageyama nodded his head slowly. He failed to tell her that he liked her.
But there was still time.
